Kicking Off the Year with Purpose
Our Annual Firm-Wide Kick Off Event

Each January, the Mid-Atlantic Financial Group hosts one of the most energizing and unifying events of the year—our Annual Kick Off Event. Designed to bring together advisors, staff, and leadership from across the Firm, this full-day experience sets the tone for the year ahead with motivation, education, and meaningful connection at its core.
Held in recent years at The Hall at Live! Casino & Hotel in Arundel Mills, Maryland, the event continues to grow in both scope and impact. Our goal is simple: to deliver an unmatched experience for our team members as we begin a new chapter each year—one that equips our advisors with fresh ideas, practical strategies, and renewed momentum.
The agenda is consistently filled with high-caliber speakers who bring diverse perspectives and powerful insights. Past presenters have included Allison Maslan, CEO & Founder of Pinnacle Global Network and author of Scale or Fail; H. Adam Holt, CEO & Founder of Asset-Map; Matthew Jarvis, CFP®, ChFC, financial advisor, speaker, and author of Delivering Massive Value; retired U.S. Navy Admiral and Top Gun Fighter Pilot Mike Manazir; business strategist Cassandra Britton, known as The Business Savage; and entrepreneur and President of Exit Stage Left Advisors, Ted Jenkin, among others. Their engaging content is designed to challenge conventional thinking, expand vision, and inspire meaningful action across every level of the organization.

To encourage genuine interaction, we incorporate an extended networking lunch that allows attendees to connect not only with our product partners but also with peers from other offices—relationships that can be difficult to cultivate during the pace of the regular workweek.
A highlight of the day is our Awards Ceremony, where we recognize and celebrate the top-performing advisors from the previous year. It is a moment to honor excellence, acknowledge dedication, and reinforce the standards that drive our Firm’s continued success.
We close the day with a cocktail reception—an opportunity to unwind, reflect, and continue building the relationships that will carry us through the year ahead.

Elite Advisor Summit
Recognizing Excellence and Inspiring Growth

Each year, the Mid-Atlantic Financial Group hosts one of its most anticipated events: the Elite Advisor Summit. This exclusive gathering brings together the top performers from across the Firm for a multi-day experience focused on recognition, collaboration, and professional growth.
Earning a spot at the Summit is no small feat. Qualification criteria include the top 12 advisors in the Firm, each of the class leaders, the top new experienced advisor who joined within the last year, and—more recently—the top life insurance producer who has not already qualified in the top 12. Competition is fierce, as advisors work to secure their place on the leaderboard during the first three quarters of the year, with the qualification period typically closing in September.
Over the years, the Summit has grown in both size and prestige. In addition to our internal qualifiers, we’ve welcomed colleagues from the Carolina Financial Group—using the same qualification structure—to bring the total number of attendees to 36. This cross-firm collaboration adds a new layer of value, offering fresh perspectives and fostering relationships that extend beyond individual markets.
Locations are selected with intention, providing exciting and vibrant backdrops that enhance the overall experience. Past Summit destinations have included Las Vegas, NV; Nashville, TN; and Austin, TX. This year, the Summit will once again be held in Las Vegas, NV! Each venue offers advisors the opportunity to step away from their day-to-day responsibilities and fully immerse themselves in growth, connection, and celebration.
The agenda is carefully curated to ensure maximum impact. Advisors hear from industry-leading speakers, including top-producing peers, leadership development experts, and coaches who specialize in advisor success. Beyond the educational content, the event also features a celebratory dinner that provides time to connect, reflect, and recognize accomplishments in an elevated yet relaxed environment.

The First 100 Days of the Client Onboarding Experience

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful professional development opportunities for our advisors, we were pleased to welcome back Libby Greiwe, The Efficient Advisor, following the exceptional feedback she received as a keynote speaker at our 2025 Elite Advisor Summit. Her practical, advisor-focused approach resonated strongly with our teams and highlighted the value of bringing her expertise back to the Firm in a more in-depth format.
Libby returned to lead an extended two-day training centered on her “First 100 Days” Client Onboarding Experience — a comprehensive program designed to help advisory teams refine and standardize their onboarding processes, elevate the client journey, and establish strong, trust-based relationships from the very first interaction.
Teams from across the Firm participated in this immersive workshop, gaining practical tools, customizable templates, and actionable frameworks they can immediately implement within their practices. The sessions emphasized the importance of efficiency without sacrificing personalization, encouraging advisors to create scalable systems that still deliver a high-touch, client-first experience.

Since that initial event, we’ve expanded the program significantly—hosting an additional two-day session for a broader group of advisors and sending several smaller groups to complete the How to Charge LIVE Workshop at Sten Morgan’s headquarters in Nashville, TN.

On multiple occasions over the last decade, we’ve invited Private Wealth Advisor Matthew T. Carbone to train groups of advisors within our Firm. Matt brings deep expertise and a practical, field-tested approach to identifying and maximizing opportunities within rollovers and in-service distributions.
His in-person sessions are designed to deliver high-impact insights that advisors can immediately integrate into their practice. Each workshop dives into how to effectively identify qualified opportunities, communicate value to clients, and position these strategies as part of a holistic financial plan.
To reinforce the content and support implementation, each group participates in a six-week series of virtual follow-up sessions.
